Art performance where a luminescent
object was temporary set on the Bothkamp
Lake, 1998, 2000
The Mondtisch [Moon Table] is a 170
cm high table-object made of polyester,
which is a moulding of the chestnut
wood table “Der Empfangende” [The
Conceiving]. It has been developed in
the course of the Hermann-Stehr Award
in 1997.
For the art performance (1st Kultursommer
[cultural event] in the Barkauer
Land Region), it is set on a float and
emits a magic light at night using a solar
plant; just as the moon, the object uses
the sunlight to shine. The performance
is a cheerful happening at the lake including
curing of fish, music and lyric
poetry. With the Moon Table-antlers turned
upside down, the table is set on the
lake by voluntary swimmers.
